Spiral stairs

When we buy a house we are always looking for a bigger house or if we are a little short of money we search for a small but well distributed house, so if we are in this second situation, we better find one with a spiral stair.

This can save a lot of space and at the same time be even prettiest than the regular stairs, and there is a big variety where you can choose from, for example here we have a simple but nice spiral stair made with wood and steel that fits perfectly with a room and as you can see it doesn’t need a lot of space to be place in there, is just like if it were a lamp placed there and virtually occupies the same space but with a major utility of course.

If you prefer a little more sophisticated style you can also try a stair made completely by only one material, at least I choose this one, with a Victorian touch and little figures through the stair itself, there are plenty of styles where you can choose from, but you have to see that this star will not compromise the way you might want to change your house some day, if you choose one with an specific theme, then you’ll have to see what goes best with that before you do something to the rest of your house.

You don’t want to have a rustic stair with a futurist house, do you?, so you better see what fits and what doesn’t and you can even mix styles but make sure that when they are together they match perfectly, so be wise and think those things very carefully.

Concrete Floor Art

I just found out this beautiful floor at The Transparent House and I wanted to share it with you. Like you can see this is a concrete floor with a peculiar design in it; it looks like if it were some kind of polish concrete and that for a final touch they added the design.
I was really eager to find out how did they do that so I searched all over the web but the only answer they gave me was that someone call the place where this original design appear, but they only told them that they were only the dealers but not the one that created this.
Anyway even if they did it or not these are great designs, and we will be guessing step by step until we find out how they did it.

While I tried to find out how to do some of this designs, a person told me that maybe the first one can be done with a material called micro cement that is added after all the floor is done with a template of the desired design. (just a theory)
And if we take a closer look to this second design we can notice that the flowers are not just a stamp, is like if they have done it with some kind of mold while the concrete is still fresh.
